Announcement of the Formation of the National Executive Council
The Board of Trustees of the Northern Christian Religious Leaders Assembly – Nigeria (NOCRELA) is delighted to announce the formal constitution of its National Executive Council (NEC), a landmark step in strengthening the organization’s mandate to provide credible, Christ-centered leadership in Northern Nigeria and across the nation.
The newly formed National Executive Council will serve as the highest administrative and coordinating body of the Assembly, tasked with providing strategic direction, fostering unity, promoting peace and justice, and ensuring that the voice of the Church remains a force for righteousness in governance, security, and nation-building.

Vision and Mandate
The NOCRELA National Executive is strategically positioned to:
Serve as a unifying platform for Christian leaders in Northern Nigeria;
Engage with political, traditional, and civil society stakeholders on issues of peace, governance, and national security;
Provide spiritual and moral guidance to government and society;
Strengthen interfaith dialogue, national cohesion, and Kingdom-focused leadership;
Champion the welfare, empowerment, and inclusion of Women and Youths in leadership;
Support good governance, promote interfaith harmony, and foster peaceful co-existence in Nigeria.
Speaking on this historic development, the National Chairman, His Grace, Archbishop John Praise Daniel, affirmed:
“This National Executive represents a new dawn of united Christian leadership in the North. By the grace of God, we shall stand as watchmen for our nation, speaking truth to power, promoting peace, and ensuring that the Church continues to shape society in righteousness and justice.”
Call to Action
The Assembly calls on all Christian leaders, ministers and stakeholders across Northern Nigeria and beyond to lend their prayers, cooperation, and support to the newly formed National Executive Council, as it embarks on this divine mandate of transformational leadership.
Together, we declare: “United in Christ, Anchored in Peace, Advancing the Kingdom.”
The date for the official inauguration and leadership retreat will be announced in due course.
